A generation of fans have grown up with Major League Soccer. North America’s top football competition has finally arrived – not just alongside the other US major league sports, but as a showcase of talent that rivals Serie A, the Bundesliga or the Premier League. At its best, the MLS is a brilliant fusion of sports cultures, topped off with plenty of the big-ticket excitement that America does so well. Where else can you experience soccer marching bands like the Seattle Sound Wave, along with iconic venues like the Red Bull Arena and Yankee Stadium? Whether you’re a diehard fan or just love the global game, you need to get yourself a seat. Search for MLS Tickets right here on StubHub.
MLS – the home of American soccer culture
Major League Soccer has come a long way since the early seasons. Gone are the days of ‘tactic-lite’ football, the countdown clock and an obsession with shootouts – as well as few of the original league teams. What has emerged is a sport that draws more attendance than the NHL or the NBA.
A total of 22 teams from the US and Canada compete in an Eastern and Western Conference, but also play 11 games outside their conferences – so if you’re looking for MLS tickets, there are many great ways of following the action. You can catch great local match-ups, like the three-way Pacific Northwest rivalry, intra-state clashes between LA Galaxy and the San José Earthquakes, or the cross-town derby: NYCFC against the Red Bulls in New York. Loyal fans will often book tickets for a run of home games – or you could follow your favourite team for a road trip.
Although the regular-season league leaders take the Supporters' Shield, there’s an exciting post-season too, with two-leg play-offs for the conference titles and the show-down of the MLS Cup. And there’s a unique mid-season centrepiece: the All-Star Game features some of the league’s best performers against one of the iconic European teams.
MLS - for big-game atmosphere
If you pick the right ticket, MLS games can feel sociable, family-friendly, full-on loud – or all three. It’s worth doing your research and picking the right ticket for your matchday experience.
MLS fans are famously friendly and ready to bring the noise. DC United’s La Norte is famed for its singing, drumming and banners, as is Columbus’s diverse and passionate Nordecke. Local love for the team takes many forms, and if you’re watching Portland Timbers, don’t be alarmed to hear a buzz-saw rip into life. Timber Joey, a hard-hat-wearing lumberjack, keeps up the tradition of cutting a round from a log after every home goal, and presenting it to the scorer!
